Robinson Scandinavia is one of the leading incoming tour operators for Scandinavia and Finland, with offices in Norway, Copenhagen, Berlin and Paris. The head office is in Gjøvik, near the main Oslo Airport at Gardermoen. In addition the company has an office at the North Cape during the summer months.
With a multilingual staff consisting of approx. 60 employees and an annual turnover of NOK 250 million, Robinson Scandinavia is one of the major players in the Scandinavian tourism industry.
Robinson Scandinavia was established in 1982 by Richard Robinson. The company soon gained a reputation for good service and very competitive prices, and enjoyed a rapid growth throughout the 80s and 90s. Reliability and good products have always been the foundation stones of Robinson Scandinavia’s success. Moreover it is the only Scandinavian company ever to have won the prestigious “Promotion Touristique” first prize, awarded by the French magazine “Bus et Car”. In the year 2000 Robinson Scandinavia was voted best package tour operator by the German coach industry (Bus Blickpunkt) and in addition won the award for most Innovative Company in Tourism in 2008. The award was presented by the German trade magazine Busplaner, for our new catalogue and building block system.
